  • High Prices and lower quality Shopko brand items

    Shopko stores are nice and clean and they have very good prices on things they put on sale, however, their regular prices are higher than other chain stores. One time I went to Shopko to buy replacement cutting heads for my Norelco shaver. They had them for $42 and I thought "Man there is something wrong", so I went to Walmart and bought the same heads at their everyday price of $25.     I researched several different stores to check out pricing on Christmas storage items and found the ShopKo had a tree storage bag for 6.74 on clearance and an ornament storage box for 5.99 so I went out (in bad weather) to purchase them.     I am disappointed when you purchase an item whether it's on sale, clearance or regular priced, that it is missing items in the box. If something was returned to the store, it is that store responsibilty to check to make sure everything is in there before putting it back on the shelf for re-sale.     I saw that shopko was offering online sales on Black Friday items on Wednesday the 23rd so I ordered a buch of stuff including these Rubbermaid 40 piece container set for 9.99.     I placed an opted for a total of 6 items on fir their one day sale the day before Thanksgiving, 3 days later I redirected an email stating 4 of the 6 items were canceled!     My sister and I were in the Redding shopko today looking at furniture when a very nice supervisor named Tim asked us if we had any questions. We were looking for a specific lamp that went with our pool table, he knew exactly what lamp we were looking for. We were not pleased with the scratches the lamp had and he was willing to work out a deal for us. We purchased the lamp and he helped us load it into our car.     This applies to store #0038 in Grand Island, Nebraska. I dropped off my elderly parents at the Shopko store at 8:30 A.M. not realizing the store didn't open until 9:00. I had another appointment so was not able to be reached by them when they discovered that the store was not open yet. There are NO benches in the foyer on which they could be seated to wait.     I purchased a "Norbis" tablet in Shopko's Black Friday sale [ONLINE] as a gift for my daughter in California, for Christmas.     The Shopko in Woods Cross is quite ridiculous. Today I went there to buy a long sleeved shirt. Sadly, there was a problem with scanning the price tag (big black mark made it impossible).     My mother attempted to check out, to use her 2 Shopko gift cards, the store would not accept them and the clerks response was, "the registers are not accepting any gift cards today". I had to pay for her stuff with my credit card !! I found this embarrassing and annoying, to say the least.     Weekly ad in Shopko, - Wausau WI. HUGGIES diapers $8.99, buy 2 get $6 cash back rewards. I had 2 Huggies manufacturer coupons at $3.00 off exp. 11-15-15 that I was planning to use on 2 packs.     I was in your store a few says ago and found that there were umbrella strollers on sale for 1.99. I was excited because I was looking for one for my son.     On January 8, 2014 I bought a Tracfone phone, a new Android. It took 2 weeks to get it set up as Tracfone said they could not transfer my current tracfone phone number to the new Android.     Shopko should clean the restrooms and the hair section. On Saturday 03-23-13 after an almost 2 hour car ride. My daughters (ages 11& 14) and I walked into the woman's bathroom and feel what we found/saw should be reported to the health department and to the public. Every stall had either urine/urine and pubic hairs on the toilets and/or they were clogged. And yes, it was every single stall which surprised me because of the number of stalls they have.     I went into ShopKo to pick up some times that I needed for my house. I found myself perusing around the store, and ended up over by the storage section of the store.     So I was shipping at the ShopKo in Eau Claire, WI and found the 50% off laminate shelving section. I found an expresso single cube storage unit that was priced at $11.99, on the bar code price under the item. I took it to purchase, and explained it was 50% off the tickets price.     I put in an application and didn't hear from them in 3 months. Then out of the blue the fill in manager calls and sets up an interview with me. I get hired on the spot and told to come back that Thursday for orientation. I go and there were 4 other girls there who got hired.     I placed an order with Shopko 0n 3/11/2012. I got an email that it was being shipped on 3/22/2012. When I didn't recieve it by 3/25/2011, I called FedEx, who said they recieved a shipping request from Shopko, but no merchandise to ship.     Shopko online shipping is HORRIBLE!! Don't ordered anything unless you want it weeks later. I ordered the first time it to 2 1/2 weeks to get my package. It claims no more then 10 business days. I Thought k maybe ill give them another chance I need to order more curtains because I didn't order enough the first time. Yeah Sept 8th sent my order in not set to arrive tell the 24th...     OPTICAL: I ordered glasses through Shopko Optical two months ago. I have taken them back twice because I can't focus on the computer with them. There is at least a two week turnaround with the lab, so they can chew up that 90 day guarantee in a hurry. I'm still waiting for the glasses to come back from the second return!     I have liked shopping at but this last weekend they ran an ad that I consider misrepresentation and teaser ad running. The ad said it was a beeding sheet set that included sheets, and pillow cases. In reality it did not. But instead of the customer service people admitting their mistake or correcting the problem, they indicated we were reading it wrong. Since I am a licensed attorney that is not very llikely. Placed an order on 10/13/2012 for 2 sweaters one was an army logo and the other was a striped red and grey sweater for my son when my order was complete it was for a total of $40.49 for which I had a gift card worth $40.00 and I paid .49 with my bank card that included the shipping and handling once I reviewed everything I noticed that the email they sent me was that I had purchased 2 of the army sweaters so I qiuickly called the coustumer service and spoke to a man named Ryan he told me that he would change it for me and to give him my confirmation number which I told him it was on my phone and he said that he would call me back in 5 minutes so we could fix the problem and get the sweater I wanted. 5 minutes went by and I got a phone call but now it was man named Frankie satating that Ryan was busy but he had told him what I needed I told him that I rather speak to Ryan and he told me he just left when I got mad he told me Ryan was back. When we tried to get the new sweater they told me my card declined I told how they were suppose to give me credit for the sweater, then they told me they would have to speak to the manger until 10/15/2012 about and not to worry about anything I would not have to pay for shipping. Surprise on Monday they never called so I called them on Tuesady spoke to a rude lady who told me I didn't understand I then Asked to speak to a manger she told me there was no need she could help me I demanded to speak to one they put me on hold for 30 min the manger never answered my call it is now Wednesday and I had to call back and they told it would take 72 hours to be shipped sorry story is so long but this is the worst company ever

Why do people always whine about some store not taking it up the @$$ and giving you your every wish. If the store didn't want to open the box, they don't have to. And as far as the "store such as yours can afford to put one out on display" comment..... Do you know how much stores make on toys like that? Roughly 1-5%..... so a 50.00 toy costs them 45-48 bucks.... open 300 of them for each store, and now oyu have to sell 2000 to make up the loss for the "Display". I hate people that think that the "Customer" should be treated with kid gloves and be waited on hand and foot.

I asked the manager at the local Shopko store if they could take out a certain stuffed dog that responds to your voice (can't remember name of product). I had seen it at another store (not your store on display but it was sold out there and no longer on display. I have an autistic daughter and wanted to get her reaction to the toy before i bought it. It was quite expensive. They said they could neither put one on display or take one out for the customer to see because it was such an expensive item. I said that such an item should be on display simply to see how it does work and that certainly a company or store such as yours can afford to put one out on display. Other stores can do it. I think this is not good costumer relations and does not speak highly for your concern for those who would like to purchase a product that is reliable and what they want. very dissatisfied
