I purchased a "Norbis" tablet in Shopko 's Black Friday sale [ONLINE] as a gift for my daughter in California, for Christmas. By the time she received it - in December, - tried it out and told me what a 'bad' product it was - I didn't get it back until January. The tablet is nigh impossible to operate/use! You push down on the screen and nothing will "open" - not without great insertion of the finger tip. I had considered - at first - just using it for myself - but when I tried, I understood my daughter's frustration with it, and why she sent it back to me. I am not upset about this though per se'; these things happen - luck of the draw and all that - but when I went to RETURN it at a local SHOPKO store - even saying I would accept a 'in store' credit - I just got the 'run-around' - passed from one person to another - until the Manager said he couldn't do anything for me, and I'd have to call "whoever" at the ONLINE department#!$#??? Did I not order this FROM SHOPKO? Ordering it ONLINE should make NO DIFFERENCE to the quality of customer service I receive. I know I SHOULD have called them - or even sent this complaint sooner, but with work and full time school, I don't have the time for all this, as most people don't. I am not 'out' a whole lot of money [the tablet was $100 OFF for the black Friday sale, so I paid about $80) for it - BUT - at the same time, that's still $80 for something I CANNOT USE! I am hoping SOMEONE will respond to this message AND offer me A STORE CREDIT at least, and a shipping label to RETURN the tablet, so you can see for yourself how BAD this product is! Please know that I am NOT generally a "complainer". I actually go out of my way to PRAISE good customer service - but in this case, I just felt 'brushed off'; that the Manager couldn't be bothered to make sure I left the store satisfied that my complaint had been taken care of. People just don't have time to consistently try to get a product to work - send it back and forth from NE to CA - DRIVE back to the store to return it - AND then have to call the "ONLINE" people. I just wish I'd NEVER ordered the thing in the first place! It has been far more trouble than it's worth. Thank you for your time.
